Kennel Jo-Kin's
Kennel Jo-Kin's was founded in 1987 by an eager young woman who had had pets in her life right from the square one. The founder, Johanna Kinnari, started breeding with a swedish shih tzu bitch (FIN & S CH) Suki-Yaki's Dainty-V.I.P. and her first shih tzu litter was born in 1988.
Johanna fell in love with the breed when she was at the agility field with her german shepherd and the course leader showed how the track is supposed to go with a shih tzu. She thought "Wow", a small breed with brains. And she had to look for more information about shih tzus. She bought her very first shih tzu "Vippi" (Suki-Yaki's Dainty V.I.P) from a swedish breeder Annika Malmhäll, who eventually came to be a close friend of her. She also started breeding this small and smart breed which had stolen her heart with the help of Annika.
I have grown up in the middle of the kennel, among all the shih tzus. I learned how to walk by taking support on a shih tzus back. My favourite playmate was a shih tzu called "Muru" (Suki-Yaki's Just an Illusion) and later I got my "own" shih tzu called "Essi" (Jo-Kin's Especial Chosen). And Annika came to be my godmother.
Johanna took some time of from the kennel business when my little brothers came to the world in the 1996 and 1998. She stopped breeding for about ten years. But few years ago, when we had only one shih tzu called "Börje" (Suki-Yaki's Yield to Temptation) left, a shih tzu kennel Red-Deego asked if they could use our male for breeding.
